About Plant Tours

Reservation Process

  • Select your desired date and course on the website and make a (tentative) reservation.

  • We will contact you by email within 5 business days to let you know if we are able to comply with your tour request.

  • The reservation process is complete when you receive a confirmation email regarding your tour. (Tentative reservation)

Tour Dates

Weekdays and public holidays from Monday to Friday (excluding business holidays).

Tour Languages

Tours are conducted in Japanese only.
If you prefer another language, please bring an interpreter with you.


  • Hats are required to be worn inside the factory, so we ask that elementary school students bring their own hats. (Red and white caps, etc.)
  • Please wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear for the tour.
  • Please inform us about any changes to the time of your visit or number of visitors that were made after you applied.
  • The personal information you provide will not be used for any purposes other than those related to the plant tour.
  • Please note that we may have no choice but to decline your request for a tour or may ask you to reschedule your visit due to factory operation circumstances.
  • Eating, drinking, and smoking are prohibited inside of the plant.

Notes on Preventing the Spread of COVID-19

  • If you have been informed by a medical professional that you are infected or have been in close contact with a person who has been infected and are currently under observation, or have traveled to a foreign country within the past month, you will not be permitted to visit.
  • We will not admit guests who are not wearing a mask, regardless of age.
  • Only guests who have disinfected their hands with alcohol-based sanitizer and have had their temperature checked to ensure they do not have a fever may participate in the tour. We ask for your cooperation in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
    (If a member of your group has a fever, fatigue, cough, other cold-like symptoms, loss of taste or smell, etc., we will deny entry to your entire group or part of your group.)
  • Due to the spread of COVID-19, your plant tour may be canceled or its content may be changed.

    This tour will showcase the flow of engine manufacturing, from casting to machine processing to assembly.
    The duration is about 90 minutes.
    1. Briefing (30 min.)
    2. Engine Factory Tour (60 min.)
  • Reservation Period:
    1. Plant Tours for April–August
      Displayed after 9:00am on the fifth plant business day in January, and after two weeks after the current date.
    2. Plant Tours for September–March of the following year
      Displayed after 9:00am on the fifth factory business day in April, and after two weeks after the current date.

Access by Train

  • Take the city bus to Minamihirocho from Saiin Station on the Hankyu Railway Kyoto Line
  • Take the city bus to Minamihirocho from Shijo Station on the Keihan Main Line
  • Take the city bus to Minamihirocho from Kyoto Station on the JR West, JR Central, and Kintetsu Railway Lines
  • Take the Kyoto bus to Nishikaigawacho from Hanazono Station on the JR Sanin Main Line (Sagano Line)

Access by Car

  • 25 minutes from the Kyoto Minami IC and 35 minutes from the Kyoto Higashi IC on the Meishin Expressway
