MMTh Plants Trees in 60 Rai Forest, Receives Reforestation & Forest Resources Development Award from Royal Forest Department ~MMTh's "60 Years 60 Rai" Reforestation Project~ [Thailand]

In October 2021, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MMTh), a production and sales company in Thailand and the Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Foundation (MMTF) * , a non-profit organization, planted 8,000 trees in 40 Rai forest in Sa Kaeo Province jointly with Royal Forest Department, Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization and local dealers as the second round of the planting as part of MMTh's " 60 Years 60 Rai" Reforestation Project.

In recognition of the achievement of this project, MMTh was awarded the Reforestation & Forest Resources Development Award from Royal Forest Department to receive the prize from Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment via online ceremony.

 

MMTh and MMTF planted 4,000 trees in 20 Rai (approx. 3.2 hectares) of forest in Chon Buri Province in the same year in the first round of planting. They planted a total of 12,000 trees in the forest of 60 Rai (approx. 9.6 hectares).

 

MMTh and MMTF intend to continue to work on the efforts to build a sustainable society.

 

*NPO established by MMTh in Thailand in January 2021 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of starting operation there.
