MMTh launches forest planting project "60 Rai Reforestation" project [Thailand]

In September 2021, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MMTh), a production and sales company in Thailand and the Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Foundation (MMTF) * , a non-profit organization, announced that they have launched 'Celebrate 60th Anniversary of Mitsubishi Motors in Thailand, "60 Rai Reforestation Project" to replant the forest in 60 rai in total (approximately 9.6 hectares) in Chon Buri Province and Sa Kaeo Province in collaboration with the Royal Forest Department of Thailand and Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization.

 

Taking into the expanding COVID-19 pandemic, the first planting activity was conducted only by the representatives of such entities as MMTh, MMTF, the Royal Forest Department of Thailand and Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization in the 20 Rai (approximately 3.2 hectares) of the forest area in Chon Buri Province. They plan to plant trees in 40 Rai (approximately 6.4 hectares) in the forest area in Sa Kaeo Province soon.

 

MMTh and MMTF hope that this planting activity will enhance the environmental awareness in the area and contribute to the reduction of global warming effect.
