MMTh signs MoU with EGAT to collaborate on the development of V2G [Thailand]

On October 5, 2020, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MMTh), which is the Mitsubishi Motors' production, sales and export hub in Thailand, and Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development, testing and data collection of energy conversion from Vehicle to Grid (V2G)*1 by using Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and power control from the National Control Center at EGAT. Additionally, the collaboration will include the plan to showcase Mitsubishi Motors’ DENDO DRIVE HOUSE system package at EGAT Learning Center to promote Vehicle to Home (V2H)*2 innovation for sustainable energy .
MMTh will engage in the development of electric vehicle technologies that enrich the lives of local people and promote sustainable growth of Thailand.

 

※1 Vehicle to Grid (V2G): A system of adjusting electric power demand/supply through bi-directionality with EV/PHEV storage batteries

※2 Vehicle to Home (V2H): A system of supplying homes with electric power stored in EV/PHEV batteries
