Tokyo, April 23, 2026 – Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (hereafter, Mitsubishi Motors) announced that Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Motors in Vietnam, achieved record retail sales of 48,096 vehicles in fiscal year 20251, an increase of 11.7 percent from the previous fiscal year. This marks the company's second consecutive fiscal year of record sales performance. Amid the steadily growing Vietnamese automotive market, Mitsubishi Motors expanded its market share to 14.9 percent, an increase of 1.6 percentage points compared to the previous fiscal year2.

In Vietnam's sales ranking by model during fiscal year 2025, Mitsubishi Motors' key model, the Xpander series, recorded sales of 19,731 units, leading the MPV segment among internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles for the seventh consecutive year. The Xpander series also ranked No. 1 in total annual sales among all ICE vehicles for the fourth consecutive year, continuing to drive Mitsubishi Motors' sales performance in the Vietnamese market.

Alongside Xpander's sustained success, the all-new Destinator, a midsize SUV launched in December last year, showed a promising start. In March alone, the Destinator ranked No. 1 in sales within the C-SUV3 segment among ICE vehicles, making a significant contribution to the overall sales growth. The Xforce also maintained stable sales momentum, securing the top position in monthly sales among all ICE vehicles in December, reflecting its consistent performance. Both the Xpander and Xforce have continued to earn broad support from families, further strengthening Mitsubishi Motors' presence in the Vietnamese market. Furthermore, the Destinator, which combines SUV driving performance with MPV-level comfort, has received high acclaim since its launch, demonstrating strong expectations for this model in Vietnam.

“For more than three decades, Mitsubishi Motors has been privileged to play a part in the growth of Vietnam's automotive industry,” said Keisuke Kishiura, president and chief operating officer of Mitsubishi Motors. “We are grateful for the confidence our customers have placed in us, built on our model lineup tailored to the ASEAN market and strong dealer network. The record-high sales and expanding market share reflect that trust. Going forward, we will continue working to expand sales in Vietnam and strengthen Mitsubishi Motors'’ presence across the ASEAN region.”
