In 2019, in order to conduct business activities with respect to the human rights of the stakeholders, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Mitsubishi Motors) established Human Rights Policy, declaring that "we will identify, prevent, or mitigate negative impacts on human rights which may be caused by our business activities through the application and support of human rights due diligence processes."

We acknowledge that human rights of employees such as working conditions and health and safety is a significant issue which can cause a great impact through business activities.

Based on this acknowledgement, as part of our human rights due diligence, we conducted in the second half of FY2021 the human rights assessment* at the headquarters and three production sites in Japan. In conducting the assessment, we worked together with an external assessment entity in order to ensure objectivity and alignment with international norms.

We found no item that will have serious impact on our business in this assessment. However, based on the recommendations from the assessment entity and the acquired knowledge, we intend to continue our efforts to reduce human rights risks and live up to the expectation of the stakeholders.

*Assessment items include employment contract, working hours, wage, child labor, forced labor, fundamental rights at work, discrimination, health and safety, and remediation measures.
