PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (MMKI), the manufacturing subsidiary of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) in Indonesia, has been collaborating with vocational schools since 2017 through the MMKI Development Program to help cultivate skilled and industry-ready young talent. The program was initiated to bridge the gap between vocational education in Indonesia and the actual needs of the automotive manufacturing industry, particularly in areas such as work culture, safety awareness, quality mindset, and manufacturing processes.

Through this program, MMKI aligns school curricula with industrial standards through the MMKI Industrial Class while also providing teacher training to enable educators to deliver up-to-date industry knowledge to students. Since 2019, MMKI employees have also served as guest lecturers at vocational schools.

In October 2025, MMKI expanded its partnership network to 23 schools, further strengthening its commitment to vocational education. Through this collaboration, MMKI provides a wide range of educational support initiatives, including:
  • Internship and apprenticeship programs, as well as the provision of trial vehicles and engines
  • Skills competitions to assess students’ competencies and evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum implementation
  • Training programs focused on communication skills, problem-solving abilities, workplace culture, safety, 5S(Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke) and continuous improvement (Kaizen)

Voice from a Vocational School

We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the initiatives carried out through MMKI’s educational program. This program has delivered significant value to both our school and our students. It offers a well-structured curriculum aligned with the automotive industry, supporting students not only in acquiring technical manufacturing skills but also in developing a deeper understanding of the work styles and discipline required in the automotive sector.
