On Thursday, July 25, Higashi Nihon Mitsubishi Motor Sales Co., Ltd held a dealership training program for 10 students from the Saudi Japanese Automobile High Institute (SJAHI*) at headquartered in its Meguro-ku.

SJAHI is an auto mechanic training Institute established in 2002 as a joint public-private project of the governments of Japan and Saudi Arabia, Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), and Japanese Automobile Dealers in the Kingdom (JADIK), in response to a request from the government of Saudi Arabia. With the support of Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE), 10 highly motivated, outstanding SJAHI students, who are potential candidates for future management positions at Japanese automobile dealers in Saudi Arabia, and one accompanying instructor, were invited to Japan for a two-week training program from July 21 to August 2, 2024. The students visited auto maintenance schools and Japanese car manufacturers to learn about latest car maintenance technologies for electric and hydrogen vehicles, and to observe Japanese-style customer service.

During our dealership training, through lectures, tour of the dealership, and test drives of vehicles, they learned about customer-first service operations at the dealership, the training system for technicians, and advanced technologies such as EVs and PHEVs. The students enjoyed their first ride in a PHEV/EV and were surprised at the quietness and smoothness of the ride, and were pleased to have this valuable experience.
We will continue to cooperate and dedicate ourselves to nurture the next generation who will be responsible for the future.
