On December 15, 2023, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MMTh), a production and sales company in Thailand, , donated a solar power generation system to Nayaiam Hospital in Chanthaburi Province as a part of its environmental project “Solar for Lives.

MMTh aims to “ dedicate itself to Thai society and grow together with it,” and is engaged in social contribution activities in the three areas of education, the environment, and health. As part of this project, MMTh has donated 500kw solar power generation systems to 10 locations (totaling 16 million baht) since 2021, achieving an annual reduction of over 300 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. MMTh has set a goal of installing solar power systems in 40 community hospitals by 2031.

MMTh believes that this project will encourage the benefits of clean energy in the field of public health, and leading Thailand toward a carbon-neutral society. In addition, this effort will enable MMTh to fulfill its social contribution pillars of “environment” and “health”.
The recipient of the donation, Nayaiam Hospital, has told us that the solar power generation system has significantly reduced their electricity bill allowing them to channel the freed-up budget into key areas to improve the quality of medical care they provide to the community.
