On November 21, 2022, a major earthquake hit the Indonesian island of Java, causing extensive damage in the city of Cianjur, West Java. On December 5 of the same year, PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI), Mitsubishi Motors' sales subsidiary in Indonesia, donated 575,000,000 IDR (approximately 5,000,000 Yen*) to the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) jointly with Mitsubishi Krama Yudha Group including PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation's sales company in Indonesia.
Donations will then be immediately distributed to the Cianjur Earthquake Disaster Command Post and areas around the disaster in the form of the residents' daily basic needs.
Apart from participating in joint donation to PMI together with the Mitsubishi Krama Yudha Group, PT MMKSI have also made a donation separately with IDR 200,000,000 (approximately 1,750,000 Yen*).
The support was carried out by dispatching two Triton Rescue Car units for disaster response operational needs, mobilizing volunteers, and distributing aid. Not only that, PT MMKSI also provided assistance in the form of temporary shelter, emergency toilet, and goods needed by the refugees, such as mattresses, blankets, water jerry cans, and so on.
Mitsubishi Krama Yudha Group hopes that the people affected by the earthquake can recover and continue to be enthusiastic about continuing their lives.
