Asian Transmission Corporation (ATC), which is the Mitsubishi Motors' automotive parts production base in the Philippines, has been embarking on tree-planting projects for the past decade as part of its and Mitsubishi Motors Corporations' care for the environment. ATC set the goal of planting 25,000 young trees over 5 years in fiscal 2018, the 45th anniversary of its foundation and has been working on tree-planting campaign since then.
From May 2021 through March 2022, ATC donated a total of 8,100 young mahogany trees to schools and municipalities in Laguna Province, pushing up the number of trees planted so far to 23,409.
ACT has been conducting this activity in partnership with Laguna Province, the Department of Natural Resources, schools and NGOs etc.
ATC intends to continue this activity to preserve the green environment.
