Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MMTh), a production and sales company in Thailand, donated solar power system to Namphong Hospital in Khon Kaen Province as the first step of the environmental project "Solar for Lives". The project aims to invest 60 million baht (approximately 207 million yen*) and install by 2032 solar power systems at 40 regional hospitals in Thailand.

Also, MMTh loaned free of charge a unit of Outlander PHEV to utilize for health service of Namphong Hospital.

At Namphong Hospital, expansion of the facility to accommodate more patients has been an urgent matter. The newly-installed solar power system will contribute to control utility cost of the hospital, which will rise as the facility expands, as well as enable reduction of burden on environment through use of solar renewable energy.

To contribute and grow with Thai society, MMTh focuses on the three fields of "education", "environment" and "health".

MMTh intends to continue to help realization of carbon neutral society promoted by the Thai government by expanding the access of citizens to better healthcare service through this project.
