On December 2021, the central Philippines suffered damage from the typhoon Odette which hit the area. In response to this damage, on February 2022, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation. (MMPC), donated 1 million pesos (approx. 2.24 million yen*) to Philippine Red Cross(PRC) not only to deliver immediate relief but also aid long-term rehabilitation.

The people in the affected area are making effort for early recovery while still against the strict pandemic

MMPC hope that the assistance will help early recovery and contribute to making the life better for every Filipino.

PRC Chairman and CEO, Senator Richard Gordon, was also in attendance during the online ceremony and said, "I would like to thank MMPC and to Mr. Takeshi Hara for choosing Philippine Red Cross as your partner of choice in delivering much needed relief for Typhoon Odette-hit communities. Through your generous donation, PRC will be able to strengthen and hasten relief efforts to alleviate human suffering and uplift the dignity of the people. May we continue to be partners in helping the most vulnerable as we help them through this crisis."
