In August 2021, Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA), an authorized distributor of passenger cars and SUVs with MMC in the USA, delivered a six-month, free-of-charge Outlander PHEV loan to Charis Health Center, an NGO based in Middle Tennessee. Charis Health Center is a small non-profit health clinic, operated by volunteer staff.
Volunteer staff will use the power supply function of Outlander PHEV to power a mobile clinic with deep freezers, administering temperature-sensitive medicines and vaccines, including the COVID-19 vaccine, to high-risk and rural areas throughout the state.
In September of the same year, Outlander PHEV was helpful in providing disaster relief supplies and first-aid care to those who were impacted by historic flooding in the Nashville, TN area.
