In December 2020, Mitsubishi Motors de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (MMDM), which is the Mitsubishi Motors' sales hub in Mexico, provided assistance to deliver approximately 1,500 food items and toys to impoverished families living in five states in Mexico (Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Oaxaca, Yucatan, and Guanajuato) in collaboration with the COMEDOR SANTA MARIA, a nonprofit organization, and DHL Mexico by using the L200 pickup truck.
The COMEDOR SANTA MARIA used to run community kitchens in some states in Mexico to provide support mainly to underprivileged children and pregnant or breastfeeding mothers. However, with the spread of the COVID-19, the COMEDOR SANTA MARIA had to close the kitchens in each state. To resolve this situation, MMDM cooperated with the COMEDOR SANTA MARIA in transporting its relief supplies such as food by using the L200 pickup truck and utilizing MMDM's sales network.
MMDM will continue activities rooted in the local community.
