In December 2020, disaster stockpiles of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) were due for replacement, so we donated them to Second Harvest Japan.

Second Harvest Japan is a nonprofit organization established as Japan's first food bank that receives food donations (food that can still be eaten but is thrown away, so-called "food loss") and distributes them to those in need, such as children in welfare institutions or children's homes, and homeless people.

In Japan, it is estimated that 6.12 million tons of food loss is generated each year (according to the estimation of 2017 by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Ministry of Environment).

MMC will continue to fully prepare for disasters and make efforts to contribute to solving social issues.
