Mitsubishi Motors to unveil Eclipse Cross at Los Angeles Auto Show

Tokyo, November 29, 2017Eclipse Cross, the new compact SUV from Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC), will make its North American debut at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Outlander PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) SUV will be showcased as well. Earlier today, the company also announced the global launch of its connected car platform with MITSUBISHI CONNECT Safeguard and Remote Services.

Set for launch by Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) in March 2018, the Eclipse Cross is a new compact SUV that builds upon the company's strong heritage in crossovers. A fusion of sharp coupe looks and dynamic SUV mobility with signature Mitsubishi styling, technology and driving confidence, Eclipse Cross motivates drivers to get out and go with inspiring Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) technology and connectivity that improves the driving experience.
 
Outlander PHEV, MMC's flagship plug-in hybrid vehicle, will be launched in North America December 2017. Featuring a highly efficient 2.0-liter gasoline engine and two high-performance electric motors that power MMC's advanced S-AWC system, Outlander PHEV is a highly capable hybrid SUV with go anywhere capability.
 
North America will also see the initial global rollout of the MMC's new connected car platform – MITSUBISHI CONNECT Safeguard and Remote Services. Featured first in the new Eclipse Cross, and then made available in additional models and markets, the connected service aids drivers on and off the road through integrated systems like Automatic Collision Notification, SOS Emergency Assistance, Roadside Assistance, and remote features such as Remote Climate Control and Car Finder.
