One of the key factors in delivering the responsive driving experience sought by our All Wheel Control technology is how the vehicle handles. The handling feel is shaped by the interaction between the seated driver, the controls and driving aids, as well as the vehicle's specifications and cabin layout. We constantly explore how to make the relationship between the driver and the vehicle feel more natural and engaging for our customers, introducing new innovations to the cockpit to further enhance the joy of driving.

Effective vision assist
Among the three elements of customer driving behavior—perception, judgment, and operation—perception is enhanced by our vision assist function that uses an external camera system. The challenges of visibility※5 vary depending on the specific vehicle design and traffic conditions, so we optimize the camera angles and positions for each vehicle. We are committed to developing new vision assist technologies to expand the situations where customers can drive with confidence.

Simple data display
We are developing a user interface that reduces the time needed to read cockpit displays. This includes using high picture quality displays to promote intuitively readable fonts and simple, graphical designs. We're also working on new cockpit layouts that minimize eye movement while driving, and a mechanism that delivers information effectively through light, sound, and tactile feedback to capture attention. Additionally, we are researching the use of image processing and in-cabin sensing technologies※6 to enhance information control features.

Cabin environment performance
When it comes to physical comfort in the cabin—covering heat, light, air, and sound—we are working to enhance the relaxing effects of ambient lighting and the stimulating effects of light during nighttime driving as well as the rear-seat environmental performance for all passengers to feel comfortable, in addition to passive responses to the in-cabin environment.
