Respect for Human Rights

MITSUBISHI MOTORS believes that the respect for human rights in accordance with international standards and norms is the foundation to develop our business. In order to clarify this idea, we expressed our support for the United Nations Global Compact in FY2019, established our Human Rights Policy, and showed our stance respecting for human rights both within and outside the company.

In addition, our Global Code of Conduct, which all officers and employees are required to follow, stipulates that we respect human rights and diversity, and that we do not tolerate discrimination, retaliation, or harassment.

Through a human rights due diligence framework, we work to identify negative impacts our business activities have on human rights and strive to prevent or mitigate such impacts. As part of this effort, we implemented human rights assessments at our headquarters and three factories in Japan in FY2021. In FY2022, we conducted a human rights assessment at Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MMTh), a key production base in the ASEAN region.
