In April 2020, we launched a special program for employees: "STAY HOME Arts & Crafts" to help employees enjoy their time at home during the period when we have to refrain from going out. This program provides content for employees and their family members to draw family portraits and make Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) original car-featured paper crafts.

We also asked employees to submit the photos of their family artworks created during Golden Week and have received many entries, including family portraits, paper craft cars, origami crafts of children's favorite anime characters, handmade masks and so on.

■ Feedback from the employees and family members participated in the program (Excerpted from the received feedback)

  • I agreed with and participated in this "STAY HOME" program planned and implemented to raise employees' awareness of the need of staying home and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
  • We made the "Propeller X", a toy car with a battery-powered propeller covered with the Lancer Evolution X's paper craft. We well thought out where to put the propeller and switch and have succeeded in making a cool and fast car.
  • I and my 8 year-old child made crafts of the anime characters that my child got into these days using origami, pens, stickers and so on. Some of the characters were difficult to make, but we had a great sense of achievement when they were completed. I found that my child was enthusiastically making them one after another, and we enjoyed our time at home.
