Change mobile communication settings

On certain Android devices, you may not be able to communicate with the vehicle even after STEP 3. In such a case, please set Mobile communication to 'OFF' as per the following procedures, set 'Wi-Fi only' to 'ON' and register again.

Change mobile communication settings

If issue does not resolve

Please re-confirm STEP1 to 4. If you are still not able to register, please consult the nearest Authorized Mitsubishi Distributor.

STEP5. Steps to be taken if you are unable to communicate with the vehicle
after successful registration

Change additional wireless LAN settings

On certain Android devices, you may be able to solve this by changing additional wireless LAN settings.

  • Set the following, if present under "Settings" > "Wi-Fi" > Tap and hold the vehicle SSID > "Modify network settings" > "Advanced options".
    • "Using this AP without internet connection" > ON

Change wireless LAN settings again

You may be able to solve this by changing the mobile communication settings in STEP 3 and 4 again.

Check wireless LAN communication stopped state

If the vehicle SSID is not displayed on "Settings" > "Wi-Fi" when the vehicle power switch is OFF, the vehicle may have stopped wireless LAN communication temporarily and activated the function to prevent an auxiliary battery from being dead. You can resume wireless LAN communication by following the steps below.

  1. If the vehicle is equipped with MMCS or smartphone linked display audio (SDA), please check whether the MMCS/SDA date/time is correct.
If not, place the vehicle at an unobstructed outdoor location, and update the GPS time information.
  2. Please check whether the wireless LAN device date/time is correct. If not, enable Auto adjust date/time function under OS settings.
  3. Turn ON the vehicle power switch and wait for 10 seconds or more.
  4. Turn the power switch to ACC, then within 10 seconds, press the keyless operation keys "LOCK" and "UNLOCK" alternately 10 times in total.
  5. Once the meter buzzer sounds according to the number of registered devices, wireless LAN communication resumes temporarily. Start up the app in this state and communicate with the vehicle once.
  6. Turn OFF the power switch. Procedure is completed unless the wireless LAN communication stops.
  7. If the wireless LAN communication stops in No.6, start up the Plug-in Hybrid EV system, keep in READY mode (Ready indicator is on) for 10 minutes or more and then turn OFF the power switch. Procedure is completed once the wireless LAN communication resumes.

If issue does not resolve

If wireless LAN communication does not resume even after confirming the above, register again after performing STEP1 to 4. If this does not resolve the issue, please consult the nearest Authorized Mitsubishi Distributor.
