Tokyo, April 18, 2017 - Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) announces today that it has decided to transfer production of the RVR (or ASX / Outlander Sport in some markets) compact SUV from its Okazaki Plant to Mizushima Plant, effectively from the end of this December.

This decision was driven by MMC's measure to optimize its domestic production system in order to start production of the Eclipse Cross, MMC's new compact coupe SUV, at Okazaki Plant.

In parallel at Mizushima Plant, the production of the Lancer (or Galant Fortis in Japan) for export is scheduled to end in December. Through this production transfer of the current RVR, MMC ensures the production operation at the Mizushima Plant until the introduction of the next-generation RVR.
