| Mitsubishi Motors Announces Production, Sales and Export Figures for November 2011 |

Tokyo, December 22, 2011 - Mitsubishi Motors Corporation today announced global production, as well as domestic sales and export figures for November 2011.
- Production: global and Japan
Total global production for November came in at 87,209 units, 16.0 percent down over November 2010 and the fourth consecutive year-on-year monthly decrease since July 2011. Production volume in Japan at 51,052 units was 11.9 percent down, the fourth consecutive year-on-year monthly decrease since July 2011. Passenger car output at 43,563 units was 16.4 percent down on the same period last year. Commercial vehicle output at 7,489 units was 28.4 percent up year-on-year.
- Sales in Japan
Vehicle sales in Japan in November totaled 11,455 units, 5.5 percent down on the same month last year and the first year-on-year monthly fall in two months since September 2011. Sales of passenger cars at 8,706 units were 19.9 percent up and sales of commercial vehicles at 2,749 units were 36.7 percent down year-on-year. Registered vehicle sales volume at 4,550 units was 50.4 percent up while minicar sales volume at 6,905 units was 24.1 percent down over November 2010.
- Production overseas
Overseas production volume in November totaled 36,157 units, 21.2 percent down over the same month last year and the first consecutive year-on-year monthly decrease since October 2011. By region, output in Asia at 31,210 units was 19.1 percent down, mainly due to a 47.5 percent fall at MMTh in Thailand as a result of the serious flooding that country has suffered recently. Output in China at 11,750 units was 6.6 percent down year-on-year. In North America, output at 1,834 units was 26.1 percent down over November last year as production of the Eclipse and Endeavor models came to an end. In Europe, output at 1,523 units was 36.2 percent down year-on-year. In South America output at 1,590 units was 26.4 percent down on November 2010.
- Export shipments from Japan
Total exports from Japan of 32,424 units were 25.0 percent down on November 2010, the third consecutive year-on-year monthly decrease since August 2011. Exports to Asia at 1,750 units were 73.4 percent down year-on-year. Exports to North America at 9,575 units were 41.7 percent up over the same period last year. Exports to Europe at 11,442 units were 16.5 percent down on November 2010.
