In his first full year of rallying in 1990, Richard Burns won the prestigious British Peugeot GTI Cup, and from that point on the red-haired youngster went on to win every national title Britain had to offer.
Just three years later, at the age of 22, he won the British International Championship while driving for Subaru, becoming the youngest driver ever to do so, and was quickly promoted to the Asia-Pacific and World Rally Championships with the team.
Richard cites his third overall on the 1995 RAC Rally, his home round of the World Rally Championship, as his best result so far.
Burns joins Team Mitsubishi Ralliart for 1996 to contest the FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Championship in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III.
