In response to requests from around the world for Group-A parts to suit the Lancer Evolution, Ralliart Inc. of Tokyo (Dr. Rakuzo Mitamura, President) is pleased to announce the availability of Group-A parts kits to suit the Evolution VI, which are to be sold world-wide with immediate effect. This follows on from the Lancer Evolution VI Group-N parts kits, which commenced sales on May 1st, 1999.
Through the Ralliart User's Support Programme, Ralliart gives support to private competitors in the World Rally Championship, as well as other series, around the globe. The outlines of the "Lancer Evolution Group-A Parts Kit Sales Programme" were announced last December and the project has now been brought to fruition. Lancers can be equipped with Group-A component parts via the Ralliart Family organization. The initial specifications are for gravel conditions, with tarmac specifications currently under development.
Basically, this programme has been put together with the intention of making available, for the first time, Group-A rally components. It provides privateers with a Lancer Evolution VI based on and developed directly from the factory Group-A Lancers, with only slight modifications. That will benefit the international private drivers/teams. The cost of the complete Group-A car is 35,000,000 Japanese Yen, which includes the price for the standard model Lancer Evolution VI, necessary as the base car. Installation of the parts can be carried out by any Ralliart Family company upon request.
