Only drivers registered for the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship are eligible to score points and other drivers cannot detract points from a registered driver.
Each registered driver must enter six of the seven qualifying rounds of the Championship and before the start of the season, each driver must nominate the events on which they will be eligible for points.
Points are awarded to the top 8 drivers - 1st=10 pts; 2nd=8 pts; 3rd=6 pts; 4th=5 pts; 5th=4 pts; 6th=3 pts; 7th=2 pts; 8th=1 pt.
Where drivers have the same number of total points, quality of position takes precedence. Bonus points are also awarded to the top three drivers based on the results of each individual leg - 1st=3 pts; 2nd=2 pts; 3rd=1 pts. Even if a driver does not complete the first leg of an event, they can still score points on subsequent legs. |
