|Attribution of points
To be eligible to score World Rally Championship points, manufacturers can nominate two drivers, one of whom is committed to competing in all sixteen events. Manufacturers must also nominate a second crew, which can be different for each round.
Points will be allocated according to their relative position (a non-registered competitor or a manufacturers third car may not detract points from a competitor nominated in the Championship).
All 16 scores will count.
The points scoring system will be the same as in Formula 1 with only the first eight drivers each scoring points:
1st=10 pts; 2nd=8 pts; 3rd=6 pts; 4th=5 pts; 5th=4 pts; 6th=3 pts; 7th=2 pts; 8th=1 pt.
Drivers points will be awarded similarly.
Group N drivers must enter six of the eight qualifying rounds. They must select the events where they will be eligible for points before the start of the season. Only the drivers entered in the Production Car World Rally Championship can score points (other Group N drivers may not detract points from a competitor registered in the Championship).
