Galant Fortis Sportback

The Galant Fortis Sportback was launched in December 2008 as a premium-value 5-door hatchback that added stylish coupe lines and an easy-to-use luggage compartment to the excellent driving performance of the Galant Fortis 4-door sedan. All trim models used the front design of the sporty 4WD Galant Fortis RALLIART trim model and elegant coupe styling in the side and rear quarter view. Features adding to its long-trip and leisure use suitability included: the One-step Folding Seat which, at the pull of a lever, fully reclined the rear seat to provide a flat-floor luggage compartment; and the "2-level Cargo Floor" that offered two luggage compartment floor heights. Both TOURING and SPORT trim levels used the 2.0L MIVEC engine / 6-speed Sport Mode CVT powertrain that was highly rated in the Galant Fortis. The 4WD RALLIART model used a 2.0L MIVEC intercooled-turbo engine and the Twin Clutch SST 6-speed manual transmission that offered fast-shifting, feel-good acceleration to bring even greater motoring pleasure to the enthusiast driver.
