Lancer Evolution X

The Lancer Evolution X, the tenth iteration in the series, was launched in October 2007 with a brand new platform, engine and design as a new-generation. The development goal was to make the car as fast as possible, while also making it as safe to drive as possible. The Lancer Evolution X was powered by a new aluminum-block 2.0L MIVEC engine with intercooled turbocharging and together with its brand-new and more rigid body and stiffer suspension attained very high levels of engine power and driving dynamics. The newly developed power-efficient Twin Clutch Sport Shift Transmission (TC-SST) was a 6-speed automated manual transmission incorporating a dual automated clutch system to deliver lightning-fast、slick shifting for feel-good acceleration. The GSR trim level was fitted with MMC's own Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC) vehicle dynamics control system. The system intelligently manages several component systems to regulate drive torque and braking force at each wheel, reading and reflecting driver intent in real time over a wide range of situations, allows drivers of all abilities to enjoy sport driving with confidence. In April 2015, the Lancer Evolution Final Edition special version was launched in a limited series of 1,000 units. Based on the GSR 5-speed manual transmission model, improvements boosted engine output (to 313PS) and torque making it the most powerful model ever in the Lancer Evolution series.
