Strada

The L200 full-feature 4WD pickup truck that Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Sittipol Co., Ltd. (now MMTh), the company's joint venture in Thailand, started to produce in November 1995 was imported into Japan and went on sale as the second-generation Strada from June 1997. Having undergone its first full model change in six years, new exterior and interior designs created a pickup that was also suited to personal use as a distinctive and advanced passenger car. Powered by a 2.5L intercooled diesel turbo engine and with Easy Select part-time 4WD, the Strada brought significant improvements in engine power and all-terrain performance. Upgraded safety and equipment specifications resulted in a pickup truck catering to a wide usage spectrum, whether for work or leisure, as a comfortable transporter with a roomy interior space for five occupants. Starting in Thailand, the Strada series was eventually brought to Mitsubishi Motors' global markets including Europe, Australia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
