Lancer Fiore

In February 1982, the Mirage series was renamed Mirage II and was joined by a 4-door sedan. Mitsubishi Motors took this opportunity to create a twin model launched with the Lancer Fiore nameplate. In October 1983, the Lancer Fiore underwent a full model change to the "Lively casual vehicle" theme. Its distinctive design was characterized by excellent aerodynamics, a large glazing area and "boomerang" design headlamps while with an interior length of 1850 mm the roomy interior space inherent to the front-engine/front-drive layout. The Lancer Fiore was offered with high-performance 1.6L turbo, low-consumption 1.5L MD variable displacement and 1.8L diesel engines. Its equipment specification sported LED electronic instrumentation as well as an AM/FM radio receiver with digital wavelength display and an automatic heater unit that kept the cabin at a comfortable temperature.
