Based on the Galant Σ, Magna Station Wagon came with extended overall length and width creating a roomier interior and luggage compartment and was well received as a 3-number mid-sized station wagon. The model was equipped with several novel utility features including an asymmetrically split rear seatback , and the seats be folded forward to provide a flat floor at the same height as the luggage compartment. It was powered by a 2.6L engine that generated gutsy low- and mid- range torque.
