If the door is opened by any means other than the keyless entry system, the horn and hazard lights are activated and provide a warning. AirTrek, Pajero io, Pajero, and Grandis are equipped with this security alarm.
Immobilizer |
This system effectively inhibits theft by making ignition impossible without the key specific to the vehicle. Each key carries an embedded wireless tag that provides a unique code to the engine control unit. If the special electronic key is not used, the engine will not start. This prevents the engine from being started with any kind of false key.

Security alarm and immobilizer stickers are affixed on left and right door glass, warning those outside the vehicle that it is equipped with a theft prevention system.
