The newly developed energy-efficient air conditioning system available on the Colt has more efficient air conditioner components, ideal air conditioner control, ensures in-vehicle comfort and improves actual fuel economy, when compared with conventional air conditioning systems.

A high-efficiency air compressor, air conditioning unit and condenser are used.
An ECU integrated air conditioner/combination meter and CAN data communications are used while both the manual A/C operation and automatic A/C operation are energy-efficient, and the air conditioner/engine are controlled together to realize improved fuel economy.
A small, light-weight compressor, and heater unit are used, realizing an approximate 23% weight reduction compared to conventional air conditioners.
